I took gnusocial.no down last week after running it for three years. I took over due to burn out from the previous admin. I do not regret running it since I learned so much, but doing so took so much of my energy and attention. I already feel the relief, though so much has happened, I think the net level of work load on my life remains about the same.
As of now, I do not have a microblog or social media. This might change. I wish for an RSS-based tool…
Where I live we avoided the fires and smoke in 2019, but since 2015 we have had a steady worsening each year. Or at least my memory tells me so. I remember the summer of 2017, I went for a bike ride in July and the next day the air became disgusting so much that I rode less and less for the rest of the summer. I used to have an office view looking east to Mt Hood. On some days I could not see the mountain because the air quality blocked it with smoke. But I always call anything caused by humans smog.
